Hydrant Flushing – Start Date:  September 28

We will be starting our annual hydrant flushing program throughout the water system starting Monday, September 28th at 7:00am until approximately Friday, October 9th. The flushing will take place from 7:00am till 11:00pm each day until completed.  The flushing is required to clean the water system and check the operation of the fire hydrants. It is safe to use and drink the water during the hydrant flushing.  Should your water be slightly discolored or cloudy, please run cold water in the sink or bath for a short period of time until it clears up.

For more information about the hydrant flushing, call the water maintenance department @ 717-273-2506 from 7 am to 3 pm.
